Edward “Ed” Schimmel

Edward “Ed” Schimmel is the Mayor of Northwood, Ohio, a position he has held since 2016 after previously serving on the Northwood City Council. He is an attorney in Lucas County and a graduate of The University of Toledo College of Law. Mayor Schimmel brings experience across municipal government, law, and business, which he cites as key strengths in public service. He currently serves as Chairman of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) and is active in Republican Party leadership in Wood County.
